Grand Theatre

Desmond Hoebig, Cello
Glen Fast, Conductor

Brahms: Hungarian Dance No. 5
Schumann: Cello Concerto
Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 5

Though it came near the end of his career, the Cello Concerto by Robert Schumann is one of the finest of its kind and Desmond Hoebig is one of its finest interpreters. It is sublime music from beginning to end. Brahms' famous Hungarian Dance No. 5 and Tchaikovsky's triumphant Symphony No. 5 provide a fitting finale to our Masterworks Series.
